Destroying Your Problems and Concerns

Have you ever wished that all you problems and concerns could simply be thrown into the air and solutions would fall into your lap?  Well guess what, you can do that.  Here is a simple little activity that will mimic that exact thing.

Write down all you problems and concerns on a piece of paper.  It does not matter how big or how small.  If you have a lot leave some room for more writing in between each problem or concern.  Do it now, write them down.

After each problem and concern  come up with a solution.  It does not matter how big, small, easy, or outlandish they may be, just write them down.  Do not think, just brainstorm.  Write down everything that you can think of.  Take your time and write down everything.   You will be surprised how many solutions you can come up with.

Rip the paper up into little squares.  Rip them up to the smallest size you can get them.

Once you have ripped them up, throw them into the air.

The symbolism is this:

Ripping the paper up is tearing down your problems and concerns.  You are physically ripping them all up, tearing them down, your first step to getting rid of them.

Throwing the little squares up in the air does two things.  It releases them.  You are physically releasing your problems.  The second thing is that solutions to your problems sometimes seemingly come from the air.  They will show up in all different ways.  They will be presented in many different ways (your squares will all be different) and they will come from different directions (as the squares spread out they will fall to you in all different directions).

Give it a try.  If you feel silly doing it then good.  Your problems and concerns are probably kind of silly too.  If you really want to make a change then what are you willing to do.  Are you willing to feel a little silly to get rid of your problems and concerns?
