Something that I have finally learned, after 15 years of being in business is that no matter what type of situation you are in, try to take it in and enjoy it for what it is worth. I have found that in bad times, I am constantly waiting for the good times and in the good times, constantly over-analyzing and worrying about them and anticipating bad times.
Good and Bad times have something very interesting in common, they are both taking up precious moments of your time. Time is good no matter how you play it. It is truly the only thing you have, so you might as well enjoy it for what its worth.
Enjoy the bad times – appreciate them. The bad times, unfortunately, is the time we learn most. Enjoy, as much as you can, the learning situation you are in. Know that you will 100% be out of it one way or another, so while you are in it, appreciate it.
Enjoy the good times – this seems to be harder for me than the previous. When the good is going (and it is never perfect) enjoy every second. Appreciate everything. Say it out loud. Know that it is impossible to last, but that you will appreciate the moment whenever you can.
I know this is way easier said than done, but it is a very simple truth!
