- Find a quiet place
- You don’t have to get in a pretzel, just get comfortable for you, it could be laying down or sitting up
- Concentrate on your breathing. Breath in for three counts, and breath out for four counts.
- Let go of your thoughts. Your mind will wonder that is normal, instead of focusing on them just let them go.
- Try to get to a state where there is no thought going on in your head, just be content with the moment you have.
- Imagine yourself in the best place you can just being happy.
It really is just as simple as quieting your brain. You don’t have to do it for very long, just start out with 5 minutes. Settle your thoughts. Reduce your brain activity. If thoughts come up, don’t try to push them back, just let them go. Visualize yourself in a calm quiet place. Just be. You will be surprised at how well you feel after a few minutes of meditating.
